Status experience
Live availability and useful service details, with graceful messaging when status cannot be retrieved.
Family gaming & services platform
A simple public experience backed by status APIs, game-server integrations, networking, and services running on infrastructure I operate.
01 · Problem
Family members should not need to understand infrastructure to join a game server or find a shared service. They need current status, the right download or address, and instructions that explain what to do next—without publishing private access details.
FAMBAM.PARTY turns service state and connection requirements into a small, understandable directory for real users.
The live site provides game-server and service status, Minecraft player information, modpack download and setup guidance, connection workflows, and private-service launch paths. A FastAPI status service connects the public experience to hosted services, while Nginx and Cloudflare Tunnel deliver it from self-hosted infrastructure.
Live availability and useful service details, with graceful messaging when status cannot be retrieved.
Downloads, connection steps, and server guidance written for family members rather than infrastructure operators.
A FastAPI status layer translates service and Minecraft data for the frontend.
Nginx, Cloudflare Tunnel, DNS, and self-hosted services form the public delivery path.
The interface stays simple because service-specific complexity is kept behind a narrow status API and a controlled network edge.
The interface prioritizes plain-language setup and current service state over infrastructure terminology.
The FastAPI service gives the frontend a consistent way to present availability even though the underlying services differ.
If a live check is unavailable, the site says so and preserves setup guidance rather than presenting stale certainty.
Useful connection instructions are public; passwords, private network details, and administrative controls are not.
05 · Engineering result
FAMBAM.PARTY connects frontend design, APIs, service integrations, networking, and infrastructure operation. Its value is straightforward: family members can understand what is available and how to connect, while the underlying services remain controlled and private.
